Terms of Service
Last updated: May 11, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the StintIQ website at stintiq.app, its associated APIs, and the StintIQ Discord bot (together, the “Service”). StintIQ is a sole-proprietorship project operated by an individual based in the State of Michigan, United States.
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.
1. Eligibility
To use the Service, you must:
- Be at least 13 years old. (Discord’s own Terms require you to be 13+; the Service relies on Discord OAuth so this is a practical floor.)
- Have a Discord account in good standing
- Not be barred from using the Service under the laws of your jurisdiction
2. Your account
You sign in with Discord OAuth. You are responsible for activity on your Discord account and for the security of any device you use to access the Service. If you suspect unauthorized access, revoke the StintIQ application in your Discord Authorized Apps settings and email [email protected].
You own the content you create in the Service (race plans, stints, availability, notes). By creating content in a team, you grant other members of that team the ability to view and (depending on their role) edit it. You also grant StintIQ a limited license to host, store, and display that content as required to operate the Service.
3. Acceptable use
Don’t use the Service to:
- Violate any law or anyone else’s rights
- Access teams, plans, or share links you weren’t authorized to access
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically download content (the public share-link endpoint is rate-limited at the edge; circumventing that limit is a violation)
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service
- Send spam, harassment, malware, or unsolicited messages via the Discord bot or any team channel the bot posts to
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with a team or league
- Interfere with the Service’s operation (e.g., denial-of-service, probing for vulnerabilities other than through a good-faith security report)
- Use the Service to compete commercially with StintIQ without our written permission
If you find a security issue, please email us at [email protected] rather than disclosing it publicly.
4. Teams and shared content
The Service is organized around teams. A team owner can invite, promote, and remove members. By joining a team, you accept that the team owner and admins have administrative authority over team membership, plans, stints, and shared settings. If you leave a team or are removed, you lose access to that team’s content, but content you authored may remain visible to the team (this matches how a co-author of a document continues to live in the document after they leave the project).
Race plans marked with a public share link are visible to anyone with the URL. You are responsible for choosing what to share and for rotating or disconnecting the link if it leaks.
5. Privacy
Our handling of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you also agree to that policy.
6. Service availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We’ll try to give reasonable notice for material changes; for outages, downtime, or one-off bugs, we may not.
Features marked as beta, experimental, preview, or similar may change or be removed without notice.
7. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion per our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service and other users. Where practical we’ll try to give notice first; for serious violations we may act immediately.
8. Third-party services
The Service depends on third-party services (Discord, Google AdSense, Render, Neon, Cloudflare). Their availability and terms are outside our control. If one of them goes down, our Service may be partially or fully unavailable. Your use of those third-party services is governed by their respective terms.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING OUT OF COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.
We do not warrant that fuel calculations, NRG projections, stint recommendations, validation warnings, or any other automated output of the Service will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your race. You are responsible for verifying anything the Service tells you before relying on it during a race.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, STINTIQ AND ITS OPERATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE.
OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100), OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold StintIQ and its operator harmless from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Michigan, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
14. Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and StintIQ regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
