FAQ
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Is StintIQ free?
Today, the whole product is free during early-access. When we move out of early-access, the planning surface — teams, race plans, stints, driver availability, share links, the fuel calculator — will stay free. Paid tiers will cover Discord integration, alternate plans, and (when it ships) live telemetry. We'll announce pricing well ahead of any changes.
What sims do you support?
StintIQ is sim-agnostic. We don't read telemetry from any sim, so what we support is "any sim where you race with a team." Teams have run StintIQ for:
- iRacing — endurance team races (IMSA, NEO Endurance, 24H Series).
- Assetto Corsa Competizione — endurance championships (ACC Endurance Series).
- Le Mans Ultimate — Hypercar and GT3 with NRG management.
Other sims work fine — they just don't have ruleset templates yet.
Why don't you read live telemetry from my sim?
We've intentionally deferred live telemetry. It's a big technical investment, and we want to learn from real race-day usage about what telemetry would actually help with before building it. Live telemetry is on the roadmap; it'll be a paid feature when it ships.
Can I bring my own Discord bot?
No. StintIQ's race-day DMs come from the StintIQ bot. You can have your own bot in the same server — they don't conflict.
Can drivers see each other's stint preferences?
Yes — the stint builder shows everyone's preferences (rain, night, race-start, double-stints, max consecutive stints) and timezone, so the team admin can build a balanced plan.
Can I switch a Driver to Engineer for one stint?
Yes. The team-level role (Owner, Admin, Driver) is separate from the per-stint role (primary driver, backup driver, engineer / spotter). The same person can be a primary driver on stint 1, an engineer on stint 2, and a backup driver on stint 3 — all per-stint, set by the team admin in the stint builder.
Can I have multiple plans for the same race?
Yes — your team can have multiple race plans active simultaneously. Each plan gets its own roster availability, share link, and race-day countdown.
If you want sibling strategies for the same race that share roster + availability + share link but each carry their own stints + fuel/NRG, use variants (alternate plans) instead. Every plan ships with a Primary variant by default; captains can create alternates from the variant picker on the plan-detail page. See Alternate plans (variants).
Where does my data live?
Your team and plan data live in Postgres on Neon (US-East-1). The web app and API run on Render in Virginia. We use Discord for authentication and bot DMs, and Google AdSense loads on every page (it may set tracking cookies). For full detail, see our Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my account / team / plan?
- Plan — Delete plan button at the bottom of the plan detail page (Owner-only; type the race name to confirm).
- Team — Delete team button in the Danger Zone on the team detail page (Owner-only; type the team name to confirm).
- Account — "Delete my account" on your Profile page (type your Discord username to confirm). Your account deactivates immediately and is permanently anonymized after 14 days — sign in again within that window to reactivate. Your race history stays with your teams as "Deleted user." Details in the Privacy Policy.
Where's the changelog?
Two places:
- CHANGELOG.md in the GitHub repo — full technical detail.
- #changelog in the StintIQ Discord — plain-language release announcements as each new version ships.
